Our mission is to heal the divide between local communities of color and police in NYC by forging relationships between the community and police, that work.

We aim to facilitate understanding, respect and cooperation between local citizens – particularly youth – and the Police, building bridges that foster fair treatment of citizens by officers while maintaining peace.

We do this by bringing former NYPD officers into the classroom to engage in a conversation with young people of color about their interactions with the police – creating connections, understanding, trust and safety.

Founded in 2021, we’ve worked in several Title I schools. We’re getting amazing feedback. And we’ve only just begun.

“If the goal of the presentation and discussion was to have our students be more informed, understand and promote improved interaction between themselves and the police, then it succeeded in accomplishing that goal beyond measure.”

– Mathew Pearson
Assistant Principal, Central High School

Our work depends on connection. Let's stay connected.
